Clause 01
Acceptance of Terms
By visiting, accessing, or consulting any part of LayerOrder Fieldbook, you verify that you are at least 18 years of age or possess legal parental/guardian consent and have the requisite technical comprehension to operate digital manufacturing and laser cutting systems safely.
If you do not agree unconditionally with every stipulation laid out in this document, your permission to use this platform, its design matrices, layer templates, and calibration calculators is immediately terminated.
Clause 02
Scope of Documentation & Technical Advice
LayerOrder Fieldbook provides educational guides, layer ordering logic, laser parameter recommendations, and diagnostic checklists. All specifications, feed rates, focal distances, power percentages, and assist air pressure values are intended solely as baseline engineering guidance.
Operational Discretion Mandatory
Variations in diode, CO2, and fiber laser optical efficiencies, lens cleanliness, ambient humidity, material densities, and honeycomb bed planar level require individualized physical test passes. Never execute a high-power run without conducting prior power/speed matrix sweeps.
We do not guarantee that any operational order (e.g., scoring before inner piercing or engraving before perimeter cut-outs) will prevent workholding shift or workpiece warping across all machine configurations.
Clause 03
Intellectual Property & Permitted Use
All text, technical schematics, structured layer ordering methodologies, UI illustrations, and editorial field instructions are the exclusive intellectual property of LayerOrder Fieldbook and protected under international copyright regulations.

Clause 04
Workshop Safety & Operator Responsibility
Industrial and desktop laser engraving devices emit Class 1, Class 3B, and Class 4 hazardous optical radiation, hazardous fumes, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and combustible particulate matter.
- The machine operator bears single, non-delegable responsibility for maintaining certified laser safety eyewear rated for their beam wavelengths (e.g., 450nm, 1064nm, 10600nm).
- Adequate external exhaust venting or activated-carbon HEPA air filtration must run concurrently with beam excitation at all times.
- A dedicated, in-date fire extinguisher (CO2 or clean agent) must stay within immediate arm reach of the enclosure during any cutting cycle.
Never leave an active laser operation unattended. Read our operational Safety Disclaimer for detailed hazard classifications.
Clause 05
Third-Party Software & Tool References
Our field guides frequently reference third-party CAD, CAM, and machine control suites, including LightBurn, RDWorks, Inkscape, and GRBL firmware. Unless specifically declared, LayerOrder Fieldbook is an independent educational initiative.
Third-party brand names, registered trademarks, and logos remain the property of their respective owners. Mention of any commercial platform on pages such as our LightBurn Support Page or Software Setup Guide signifies technical commentary and does not constitute formal corporate sponsorship.
Clause 06
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permissible under applicable legal statutes, LayerOrder Fieldbook, its authors, editors, and technical contributors shall not be liable for:
- Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from machine fires, smoke damage, or optics cracking.
- Material scrap, ruined stock blanks, or ruined production batches due to vector sequencing anomalies.
- Stepper motor binding, belt skip, or gantry collisions provoked by unverified G-code commands.
- Bodily harm, eye injury, inhalation injury, or workshop disruption occurring during laser operations.
Clause 07
Governing Law, Revisions & Severability
These Terms are governed by and construed in compliance with regional commercial codes and digital platform statutes without regard to conflict of law principles. If any individual clause is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unenforceable, the remainder of these terms shall remain in full statutory force.
We reserve the absolute right to revise, annotate, and republish these terms as laser safety codes, firmware releases, and platform capabilities evolve. Continued use of the platform after timestamped updates constitutes acceptance of the modified covenants.
